Description

The cutting was taken from The Herald on Saturday 5th January 1921.

The caption beneath the picture reads: 'Above we give a picture of the memorial entrance gate to the Penrith Castle Park, the plans for which, drawn by the Office of Works, were adopted on Friday. The building will be carried out in sandstone. The estimated cost is something in the neighbourhood of £1000. The memorial tablet bearing the names of the fallen men of Penrith will be placed on the wall within the arched doorway.'
