Mounds, ditches, earthworks and fences are labelled as well as prominent stones and suggested timber shores. An almost octagonal grid lies over the stone circle. Section A-A shows the chalk formation of the Avenue. From a survey in May 1919 yet the notes describe the surveying of the Aubrey holes in 1920.
