Description

The sheet includes a detail of the north-east face of the centre pier of the bridge, showing mason marks, and a detail of the springers to the north of the north arch. The masons' marks are compared with fourteenth-fifteenth century marks found on Warkworth Castle, allowing an estimate of the date of construction of the bridge.
