This is a Christmas greetings postcard. A newspaper billboard has headlines on 'Tsar Justifies Massacre' and Mr Chamberlain's tax plans, suggesting a date of 1905, after 'Bloody Sunday' of 22nd January 1905, when Austen Chamberlain was Chancellor of the Exchequer in the UK.
This photograph was withdrawn from the open Red Box Collection for conservation reasons during the 2011-12 Red Box Project.
