Description

The iron gates located on the north front of Cote House are dated 1704. Cote House was orignally a manor house, now defined as a house. The House has origins from the late 16th century with numerous alterations from the 17th century for Sir Thomas Horde.

The print of this image has been damaged, the emulsion seems to have come away in the centre.

Archival History

This photograph was withdrawn from the open Red Box Collection for conservation reasons during the 2011-2012 Red Box Project.
