The Reindeer Inn or Hotel dates from the 16th century and was later remodelled in the 18th century. Within the Reindeer Inn there is the Globe Room, a later addition to the west wing. The Globe Room dates from 1637. The room had a great mullioned and transomed window of stone (later rebuilt in wood). It consisted internally of one great room with a garret over, the former containing fine panelling and a plaster ceiling having broad enriched ribs and much other decoration.
