Description

A former public house, the Greyhouse Inn or Hotel, probably originates from the early to mid 18th century and is of grey brick with red brick dressings.

The building was awarded grade II listed status in 1963 but it closed as a public house in 1989. More recently it has been used as a private residence.

This photograph is believed to be taken by Aymer Vallance, as he carried great ties to Oxfordshire and had a particular interest in Ewelme during the early 20th century.

Archival History

This photograph was withdrawn from the open Red Box Collection for conservation reasons during the 2011-2012 Red Box Project.
