Description

The painting on the far wall is 'The Story of Boccaccio' painted by G F Watts in 1844. It was acquired from the Tate who, at that time, had no place to store it and it was put on display in 1974. In 2003 it was returned to the Tate as the Governing Body wished to return the Hall to its original design.

Archival History

This photograph was withdrawn from the open Red Box Collection for conservation reasons during the 2011-2012 Red Box Project.
