Description

The original caption reads: "James Gardner, O.B.E, R.D.I., F.S.I.A., member of the Presentation Panel and a Co-ordination architect Festival of Britain 1951."

James Gardner worked on several parts of the Festival of Britain, including acting as Chief Designer and co-ordinator of the Battersea Park pleasure gardens and designing displays for the 'People of Britain' pavilion at the South Bank Exhibition.
