Description

A number of large advertising posters are visible on the wall of a building on Christmas Street, including ones for Oxo cubes, Sandeman's Port and a production of Robinson Crusoe on at the Prince's Theatre.

St John the Baptist's Church is built over St John's Gate and the current building dates from the 14th-15th centuries. It is now administered by the Churches Conservation Trust.

The lower right corner of the image is marked '199 Photo Hepworth'.
