Description

The engraving on the gravestone reads 'Sacred to the memory of John, Martha, Maria, Susannah, Selina and John James. Five infant children of the Rev. Charles Wesley M.A. [Christ College, Oxford] and of Sarah, his wife, who were buried here 1753-1768. Also of their daughter Sarah Wesley, who died Sept 1828, aged 68 years. -This stone was restored April 1927'.
