Description

The swimming pool was commissioned by Robert Grey, who was Governor of the Foundling Hospital from 1878 and later Treasurer (1892-1914). The foundation stone was laid by Grey in 1900. The baths were built along with an infirmary and a mortuary. The buildings were demolished in 2017 and the site was redeveloped with a modern office building known as the Queen Elizabeth II Centre.
