Description

The series of dinosaur sculptures in Crystal Palace Park were unveiled in 1854, and were the first attempt to portray dinosaurs within their geological environment in the world. They were created by the sculptor Benjamin Waterhouse Hawkins, with the help of Richard Owen, a biologist and palaeontologist. The sculptures are Grade I listed.
