Description

In his description of the windows in the Election Hall, M R James notes that this is window VIa, four pomegranates arranged in a cross with rays above instead of crown. Pomegranates in Christianity symbolize the resurrection.

The Election Hall dates from the 16th century and was traditionally the room where scholarship candidates waited to face examiners. It later became part of the Provost's House.
