Description

A series of thirty photograps showing Boots stores in England and the Channel Islands. There are ten 55mm slides, six 35mm slides, and fourteen digital files.

Several of the buildings were designed by A N Bromley and Michael Vyne Treleaven, in Tudorbethan or Jacobean revival styles. Of particular interest, regarding company history, are the first Boots shop opened by Jesse Boot in Nottingham, and the Boots store in St Helier, on the site of the shop operated by Boot's father-in-law, William Rowe.
