An album of 98 pages containing 97 monochrome photographic prints of the interiors of the following first floor rooms: chapel, south library, library, picture gallery, saloon and drawing room taken between April 1949 and December 1951. Four colour postcards at the beginning of the album are considerably later, between 1974 and 1982. In addition to documenting damage to ceilings and friezes and dry rot in panelling and floor, the album also records the contents of several display or momento cases before and after theft.
Images from 1949 to 1951 were taken by the Ministry of Works. The colour postcards from 1974, 1975 and 1982 were taken by the Department of the Environment
