An album of 133 pages containing 133 prints, 130 black and white and 3 colour. The majority of the pages have prints on one side only and only this side is numbered. In the two cases where later prints have been attached to the back of a page these sides have been given their own page numbers.
The first page of the album is a plan of the fort with the major features annotated. This is followed by 7 aerial views of the fort. The remainder of the prints show the fort before and during renovations including the building of new fences along the boundaries that were subsequently vandalised.
The majority of the prints were taken for the Ministry of Public Buildings and Works but there is one aerial photograph by Airviews (Manchester) Ltd who retain copyright.
Three of the items in the album were undated and were given a date of the 1960s with a range between 1962 when the fort was acquired and 1969. All except one of the dated prints were taken between 1963 and 1968. The aerial photograph by Airviews is later than the others and is dated accordingly
