Description

An album of 84 pages containing 88 photographic prints from at least 6 photographic jobs comprising 45 prints taken in December 1950 showing many parts of the site including the museum, entrance lodge and site of the foreman's hut, many are snow scenes, also 7 prints taken on 05/10/48 showing the parlour doorway, lavatory, frater, chapter house and cloister, 5 prints taken on 13/12/54 showing the custodians cottage, 5 prints taken in March 1952 showing the site of a new bungalow, 4 prints taken on 22/11/55 showing prefabricated houses and the custodians hut and 22 prints taken on 04/02/65 showing the dorter, cloister and culverts. Each print is labelled with its subject, date and often its original reference number. Also a scale map of the Abbey showing the building phases by W. St Clair Baddeley and E. Marsland. The archive object is signed E. Marsland.
