Description

An album of 94 pages containing 101 black and white prints and two colour prints.

The photographs are mostly general views of the structures on site and include some showing renovations in progress. There are also more detailed views of some sections of stonework and several pictures of excavated remains at the base of the motte. There is a set of eight views of the stables of Eagle House (now a hotel) which are just outside the north gate.

Separate sub-locations have been given to those parts of the castle that are listed as separate structures (the North and South Gatehouse, the Water Pump and the Boundary Wall) and to the custodians cottage, otherwise all parts of the castle are under the same general location.
