Description

An album of 23 paper pages with two plans attached in the front.

The album contains one photographic job consisting of 45 prints showing areas of erosion on the chalk banks of the hillfort. because of this unity of subject, purpose and creation the prints have not been recorded separately but are recorded to album level only.

Both plans are annotated copies of Wheeler and Cordons 1934 plan of the site and excavations. The first is the record sheet for the photographic job in the album and indicates the position from which each print was taken. The second plan seems to record several photographic jobs, one of which dates from the 31 Aug 1948, It also indicates areas on the banks which are possibly areas of erosion. The archive object is signed REM Wheeler and Huntley S Cordon.
