Description

An album of 46 pages containing 79 black and white photographs of the ruinous remains of Netley Abbey, the Cistercian Monastery converted into a grand mansion by Sir William de Paulet after the dissolution. Most, if not all of the photographs date from the 1920s and record the various parts of the site in sequence, often showing buildings before and after treatment. The first page of the album has a photographic copy of a ground plan of the site.
