An album of 21 pages containing 38 black and white photographs showing Portland Castle and Rufus Castle on Portland, Dorset. The album contains views of Portland Castle in the 1940s and 1950s as well as a single view showing storm damage to the castle apron in 1978. There is also a photographic copy of a map of the site from 1830 for which the National Archives (Public Record Office) have copyright.
The views of Rufus castle date from the 1950s. A number of prints are loose in the album - these have been grouped together in two separate envelopes at the front of the album.
