Description

An album of 91 pages containing 135 photographs and 13 postcards dating between circa 1880 and 1938. The site is shown before it was taken into guardianship and structural works carried out; during works of 1919 and 1920 when certain stones were adjusted and lintels realigned and replaced; and in 1924 and 1929 following this work.

There are three further photographs: one of an engraving showing the stones in 1575; an 18th century engraving showing the interior of the monument; and a model of the site made about 1790.
