Volume: Tilbury Fort - Volume 2

Description

An album of 37 pages containing 48 black and white prints. The first 15 prints are aerial views, mostly of the northern part of the fort. These were taken by Archie Handford Limited and are now copyright Realistic Photo Graphics Limited.

The remainder of the photographs are by the Department of the Environment.

There is a set of prints of exterior views of the main buildings inside the fort.

The other prints mostly show the area around the West Gun Line; including the excavation of the south west corner of the Inner Moat; the rebuilding of the earthworks along the Gun Line and vandalism of the earthworks on the river bank side.
