Description

A file of material created by the English Heritage Scientific Dating Team containing radiocarbon dating certificates and sample submission forms relating to the radiocarbon dating of peat samples from Rhonda's Moss. The peat from this deposit was used to date the inception of peat after a marine transgression. The samples were taken as part of the North West Wetlands Survey which was initiated by English Heritage in 1989, to examine ancient environments in the North West using the archaeology of lowland peat.
