Description

A file containing 6 folders of prints of Barnard Castle. Four of the folders contain modern black and white prints of photographs taken in August 1883, one folder contains original colour prints from the 1980s and the final folder contains modern black and white prints of excavation photographs from 1980. Views include the inner ward, details of the cross curtain wall, the moat, the interior of the Pigeon Tower, the Norman gateway and the bakehouse area. Many were taken during archaeological excavations or shortly after.
