A series of 6 negatives taken for the Ministry of Works showing reconstruction of houses, probably damaged in the Plymouth Blitz during the Second World War. The houses appear to be similar to those found around Warleigh Avenue between Keyham and Devonport.
The Ministry of Works, the Government department tasked by the 'Temporary Housing Act 1944/45' with alleviating the acute housing shortages in the immediate postwar years. The original Ministry of Works storage envelope lists the operator as “K".
