A series of 5 black and white negatives taken for the Ministry of Works showing the exterior of cottages built to house employees of the St Alban's Head Coastguard Station at Worth Matravers. The Ministry of Works was the Government department tasked under the 'Temporary Housing Act 1944/45' with alleviating the acute housing shortages in the immediate postwar years. The original Ministry of Works storage envelope lists the operator as “B”.
