Description

Sixteen black and white negatives produced for the Department of the Environment Photographic Library showing army homes at Deepcut, Camberley, Surrey. The original D.O.E. housing gives the subject as "Deepcut Army Housing (Dettingen Bks)". The sites include housing at Canada Road, Malta Road, Newfoundland Road and Dettingen Road. The Department of the Environment (along with its predecessor bodies the Ministry of Works and The Ministry of Public Building and Works) was the department responsible for government building projects and managing post war housing requirements.

Ten of the sixteen negatives have been catalogued in detail.
