Twenty two black and white negatives produced for the Department of the Environment Photographic Library showing exterior views of mobile homes at sites in Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire. Original documentation with the negatives gives the following information: "Examples of mobile homes, designed or adapted for living in all the year round as a permanent residence. Numbers 1-10 are larger, more recent models and are all fully self contained. Numbers 11-22, taken on a local authority site, include several older models without all amenities mostly designed originally as static holiday caravans." The Department of the Environment (along with its predecessor bodies the Ministry of Works and The Ministry of Public Building and Works) was the department responsible for government building projects and managing post war housing requirements.
Sixteen of the twenty two negatives have been catalogued in detail.
This is part of the Sub Series: PSA01/04/H Housing; within the Series: PSA01/04 Negatives; within the Collection: PSA01 Property Services Agency
