Twelve black and white negatives produced for the Department of the Environment Photographic Library showing exterior views of late 20th century housing development at Allison Close, Blackheath, SE10. The negatives show Allison Close flats as well as the terrace of thirteen houses built at the same time which back onto Allison Close. These houses have a street address of 21-45 Dartmouth Hill. In addition to the negatives there is also a Department of the Environment caption sheet (minimal information) and an annotated photocopy of the layout scheme for the development. The Department of the Environment (along with its predecessor bodies the Ministry of Works and The Ministry of Public Building and Works) was the department responsible for government building projects and managing post war housing requirements.
