Description

Twelve colour negatives produced for the Department of the Environment Photographic Library showing exterior views of homes on the Southey Estate on the north side of the city of Sheffield. The views include Lytton Avenue, Lytton Road, Lytton Drive and Southey Hill with a focus on Lytton Avenue. Originally labelled as 'Lytton Road' by the DoE Photographic Library. The Department of the Environment (along with its predecessor bodies the Ministry of Works and The Ministry of Public Building and Works) was the department responsible for government building projects and managing post war housing requirements.

All of the negatives have been catalogued in detail.
