The contents show the flats on Redworth Walk, Hartlepool during renovation. The homes are shown empty and surrounded by scaffolding. Lizard Walk and Staindrop Street also feature. The 'operator' for this group is recorded as "D.M.". The Department of the Environment (along with its predecessor bodies the Ministry of Works and The Ministry of Public Building and Works) was the department responsible for government building projects and managing post war housing requirements.
