Description
A group of 31 photographs showing exterior views of building and street scenes on Foreshore Road. Most of the photos were taken 1959-1960. Two date from circa 1890, two date from 1953 and there are also two colour photographs showing the ice skating rink in the rebuilt Olympia building. Other views include the cliff tramway station (demolished), the former coastguard station (demolished), The Futurist (formerly the Arcadia), Pier Hotel, former St Thomas' Hospital, former RNLI tractor house, Lord Nelson Hotel, Pier Restaurant and Pier Hotel.
