An Earthwork Survey and Investigation of Wigmore Castle, Herefordshire

Author(s): Graham Brown

In February 2001 and March 2002 English Heritage undertook archaeological investigation and analytical field survey of Wigmore Castle during major consolidation works, in order to provide a plan and analysis of the whole site, including earthworks to the north-west and south-east of the castle. Other components of the historic landscape, the parks, town, abbey and moor, were also briefly considered. (This report was originally numbered 14/2002 in the Archaeological Investigation Series.)
