Lithic Monuments on Exmoor: Some New Discoveries. The Worcombe Water Stone Row and a Stone Setting on Trout Hill

A previously unrecorded stone row was discovered in 2006 on the low spur between the East Lyn River and Warcombe Water, bringing the total number of these monuments in the Exmoor National Park to nine. A previously unrecorded stone setting was discovered recently on the north-western edge of Trout Hill. These two monuments were surveyed at scales of 1: 200 and 1: 100 respectively, and a photographic record of the stones was taken. During the course of the survey an area of presumed Bronze Age field clearance and a pair of small edge-set stones were discovered close to the stone row.
