Description

London County Council purchased the land for the Wormholt Estate in 1919 and built almost 800 'cottages' influenced by Garden Suburb movement. Following the end of the Second World War the estate was renovated under the guidance of the Ministry of Works. Similar in design to those at 2 Lilac Street and 144-146 Westway.
