A collection of 5 black and white negatives, showing the warehouse and employee facilities of a Ministry of Works temporary housing distribution centre in Liverpool. The Housing Act of 1944 was developed in response to the acute housing shortage of the immediate postwar era. The use of vast quantities of modular parts in temporary or prefabricated housing enabled the housing to be built quickly and efficiently.
4 of the 5 images have been catalogued and scanned as part of a 2019 project.
The original Ministry of Works storage envelope for these negatives lists the division as “D.D.T.H” and the operator as "B".
This is part of the Sub-Series: PSA01/04/H Housing; within the Series: PSA01/04 Negatives; within the Collection: PSA01 Property Services Agency
