Candle House, Snailbeach Lead Mine, Worthen with Shelve - Shropshire (UA)

This building is part of the scheduled site of the Snailbeach Lead Mine and was where miners collected their candles before going underground. It dates from the early C19 and is constructed from coursed rubble with brick dressings under the remains of a Welsh slate roof. The walls are substantially intact, but the roof has collapsed and the building is derelict.
