Description

View of a covered tomb with effigy, made of brick, with damage to the base. There is an open side to the tomb with a round arch and seven cusps, some of which are missing. The effigy lies inside, wearing long robes and their arms over their chest, and with a raised bed to prop up the head. On ther back of the Red Box Print is the note "Priory. Alfredes Tomb", whilst on the card is the note "Effigy moved to g.v.", suggesting that it was moved atfer the photograph was taken. The effigy is now on a modern base inside the church.
