Detail of a Purbeck octagonal font in the west bay of the nave. There is arcading around the sides of the bowl and a large central shaft with eight smaller columns at each of the corners. The base is also octagonal, and sits on a large rectangular plinth. The church itself has 12th century origians, with the chancel and south aisles built in the 13th century. Further additions and rebuilds took place in the 14th century.
