The image shows one whole side of the Tournai font bowl with figures and some animal faces made with shallow marks. Tournai fonts are carved from a black stone found in Tournai, Flanders. The carvings show the story of Adam and Eve, from Adam's creation and the creation of Eve from Adam's rib on the right side, to Eve taking fruit from a serpent on the left. The bowl sits on a circular brick shaft surrounded closely by four columns.
