Description

There had been a Wine Cellar beneath the theatre since the first Theatre Royal was built on the site in 1774, and it survived until the third theatre was demolished in 1902 to make way for the fourth and final theatre on the site. The bar was known as Bragg's because it had been run by two generations of the Bragg family during the nineteenth century.
