Description

The photograph is part of set showing St Matthew's Chapel, Spring Gardens and houses in New Street, believed to have been taken shortly before demolition and to be replaced by Admiralty Arch, 1906-11. St Matthew's Chapel was built in 1731 and demolished in 1903.
