11/259 Cannock monument, in churchyard, about 8m south-south-west of south-west corner of Church of St. Peter and St. Paul

GV II

Pedestal tomb; probably c1800; stone. Square, reeded dome with small cap on top, above cavetto moulding, fillet to cyma; on wide projecting lid with moulded edge. Indented corners to lid, cyma moulding and main body. Fluted frieze, with raised oval panel to each side, with leaves hanging over top third: type of leaf different on each face. Moulded base. Records death of Lancelet Cannock, 1796, his wife and one of sons, last 1840. Well-cut lettering.
