SU 5832 NEW ALRESFORD BROAD STREET (East Side) 13/63 No 42 5.12.55 GV II
House. Late C18. Stucco, with tile roof. Symmetrical front (west) of 2 storeys and attic, 3 windows. 2 hip-roofed dormers with casements, eaves with wrought- iron spaced brackets. Plain walling, with plinth. 3-light sashes (centre now filled). Doorcase with pediment of Greek pattern, with unusual dentils, double- scroll brackets, reeded panelling to form architrave, with angle blocks, panelled reveals, 6-panelled door. The south side has a later 2-storeyed wing, filling the spaces up to No 40, with a carriage entrance, 1 Victorian sash, and a slate roof.
