1870-74 by G E Street. Tower and spire by A E Street 1888-9. Post-war repairs by Goodhart-Rendel and Lowes Curtis. Nave and aisles with no clerestory, roofs separated only by cornice moulding. Slightly lower chancel with apsidal end and narrow aisles. North transept gable rises above aisle roof. Small bellcote at crossing. Tall west tower has stone broach spire with lucarnes at 3 levels.

Red brick, with stone dressings and tiled roofs, in early C14 style with traceried windows. South porch and west doorway have fine ironwork to doors. Inside, a great feeling of light and space is produced by very high chancel, arcade and tower arches. Barreled roof with vaulting ribs to nave. Tower and chancel have stone rib vaults with brick panels. Interior also of red brick with stone structural features. Bowed baptistery projection from south aisle with fine, curved iron screen. Good screens also to chancel and Lady Chapel. Reredos by G F Bodley, 1890-2.
