Shops, early C19. Local brown brick, plain tile mansard roofs.
Two storeys and attics. Four, casement dormer windows. Seven, twelve-paned recessed hung sash windows with cambered gauged brick arches and stone cills. No. 1, modern shop at ground floor; No. 2, late C19 architraved shop windows and glazed door with rectangular fanlight; house door to right hand, four-panelled with rectangular fanlight, plain pilasters and entablature. The buildings in Market Street form an important link between the Castle Estate and the Market Place.
