5/79 Poplar's Farmhouse - - II

Farmhouse. Early C17 north wing with probably C18 addition to south west forming L shape plan. Timber framed and plastered, some colourwashed brick casing, red brick gable end to later wing; roof clad in corrugated iron sheeting. 2 storeys with attic to earlier wing. The older range has a 3 cell form. Scattered fenestration, various C19 and C20 casements; at the angle of the 2 ranges is a mid C20 porch and boarded door. Scalloped bargeboards to the gable ends. One internal stack to each wing. The interior is somewhat altered, especially on the ground floor; the earlier part has some exposed framing on the first floor.
