5/109 Abbey Farmhouse - - II

Farmhouse. Early C17; the east wing has bricks dated"CW 1842' & "C. White 1842", possibly the date of building. L shape plan. Timber framed and plastered, a small part roughcast rendered; plaintiled roof. 2 storeys and attic. 5 windows, C19 casements; to the left hand side a C19 4-panel door.

Internal stack. To the rear is a Dutch gable in red brick with some stone and flint decoration: pairs of oval windows at first floor and attic levels, a lozenge panel within the pediment and an integral stack; further oval windows at ground floor level are obscured by 2 C19 lean-to additions. C19 wing of red brick with slated roof: 3 windows facing east, all the first floor and one of the ground floor windows being dummies.
